Every organization and every calendar in MuseRelay has a public web address (URL) that you can share with your customers so they can book an appointment. By default, that address includes an automatically generated code. With this feature you can replace it with your own text, such as your business name or the name of the service.
What is a slug and why does it matter?
The slug is the final part of your public URL. For example:
- Organization URL:
muserelay.com/reservas/my-clinic - Calendar URL:
muserelay.com/reservas/my-clinic/general-consultation
A well-chosen slug is easier to remember, looks more professional on business cards or social media, and is clearer for your customers.
Change your organization's slug
- In the side menu, go to Settings › Organization.
- Find the Public URL (slug) field.
- Type the text you want to use. As you type, MuseRelay checks in real time whether it is available and whether the format is valid.
- If the slug is available you will see a green confirmation. If another organization already uses it or the format is incorrect, a red notice will appear with alternative suggestions.
- Click Save changes.
Change the slug of a specific calendar
- Go to Calendars and open the calendar you want to edit.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Find the Public URL (calendar slug) field.
- Edit the text and wait for the real-time validation.
- Save the changes.
Format rules
For a slug to be valid it must meet these conditions:
- Only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens (
-). - Between 3 and 60 characters.
- It can't start or end with a hyphen.
- It can't contain spaces, accents, the letter ñ or special characters.
Valid examples: my-business, general-consultation, physiotherapy2026
Invalid examples: My Business, clínica, --service--
Automatic suggestions
If the slug you type is already in use, MuseRelay will show you up to three available alternatives based on your text. You can click any of them to apply it directly, without typing again.
Automatic redirects
When you change a slug, the previous URL does not stop working immediately. MuseRelay automatically creates a redirect that takes visitors to the new address. This protects the links you have already shared.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the same slug on two different calendars?
Not within the same organization. It can be the same across different organizations, since the full URL tells them apart.
Can I go back to the previous slug?
Yes, as long as it is available. If nobody has taken it in the meantime, you can type it again and save.
