Do I need the WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. MuseRelay uses Meta’s official WhatsApp Cloud API, connected with your own credentials.
Can I keep using the number on my phone?
A number connected to the API is handled from MuseRelay. It’s common to use a dedicated number for customer service.
Can it message a customer first?
Within 24 hours of their last message, yes. Outside that window, Meta requires approved templates.
Is there a free WhatsApp chatbot?
Yes. The free plan includes one messaging channel, which can be WhatsApp connected with your own Meta credentials, and an AI assistant with about 60 replies a month (plus about 100 welcome replies, once) for up to 50 active contacts a month. No card needed. Templates and reminders are not included. See plans.

WhatsApp is available from the free plan (one channel, 50 active contacts a month, no templates). From Lite you get WhatsApp appointment reminders and 300 active contacts a month; from Basic, templates and unlimited contacts.
