When you create your MuseRelay account you start with a free trial of the Basic plan for 30 days, no card needed. That way you can try what Basic includes (more channels, the email mailbox, more users, more chatbots) before deciding. If you do not subscribe when it ends, your account moves to the free plan: your data is kept and you choose what stays active.
What the trial includes
- The features and limits of the Basic plan: channels, users, chatbots, email mailbox and email-to-ticket, WhatsApp templates…
- ≈ 200 AI replies in total for the whole trial (they do not renew during it). They unlock in parts while you set up your account; see below.
- Contacts: no 50-contact limit like the free plan. A reasonable use applies, meant for trying the product, not for handling large volumes.
- Also, as on the free plan, a welcome gift of ≈ 100 replies, separate: part when you sign up and the rest when you complete your billing details. The gift does not expire and you keep it after the trial if you have not used it.

These are the normal steps to start using MuseRelay, so in practice you do not need to do anything special. We do it this way to stop accounts created only to spend AI. Trial replies are spent before the welcome gift, and whatever is left of them expires when the trial ends. We always talk about approximate replies (“≈”): real use depends on the model and the actions the agent takes.
How long you have left
During the trial you see a discreet notice at the top of your panel: “Free trial of the Basic plan: X days left”, with a link to the plans. We also email you 3 days before and on the last day.
Need more time to try it?
In that same notice there is a link: “Need more time to try it?”. Clicking it opens a window with an optional field to tell us what you need it for (for example, “I want to try bookings with my team”).
- The request is reviewed by a person on the MuseRelay team. If it fits, we extend your trial and give you more AI replies to keep trying.
- We reply by email, whether we extend it or not.
- It is not automatic or guaranteed: we use it to help people who are really trying the product.
What happens when it ends
- If you subscribe (before or on the last day), everything stays the same.
- If you do not, your account moves to the free plan that same day: your first free cycle starts, with 50 active contacts and ≈ 60 AI replies, renewing every month on the same day. Whatever was left of the trial replies expires; the welcome gift and anything you bought are kept.
- Nothing is deleted: conversations, contacts, tickets, appointments and settings stay.
Choose what to keep
The free plan allows 1 messaging channel, 1 web chatbot, 1 workspace and 1 user, and does not include the email mailbox. If you created more during the trial, you have 7 days to choose what stays active:
- In the panel notice, click “Choose what to keep”.
- Choose the messaging channel, the web chatbot and, if you have several, the workspace that stay active.
- Click “Save and apply”.
While you choose, everything keeps working. If you do not choose within those 7 days, we keep what you use most. The rest is paused, not deleted:
- Extra channels and chatbots are deactivated.
- Email mailboxes are paused: email is available from the Basic plan.
- The account owner is always kept; other users are paused in your organisation.
If you later subscribe to a paid plan, everything that was paused becomes active again just as you left it, with nothing to set up again.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to activate the trial?
No. It starts by itself when you create your account, with no card and nothing to accept. You see it in the bar at the top of your panel, with the days you have left.
Is my data deleted when I move to the free plan?
No. Conversations, contacts, tickets, appointments and settings stay. When you move to the free plan only two things change:
- AI: whatever is left of the trial replies is removed and your free plan amount starts (≈ 60 per cycle). The welcome gift and anything you bought are kept.
- What does not fit in the free plan (extra channels, chatbots, users, email): it is paused after 7 days, not deleted, and comes back if you subscribe.
You can download or delete your data from your profile on any plan, including the free one.
What if I talked to more than 50 people during the trial?
- Nothing you received is blocked or deleted: messages from everyone keep arriving and you see them in the inbox.
- You can keep talking to the people you already talked to in the cycle, even if they are more than 50.
- Only replying to new people is blocked once there are 50 in the cycle, until the cycle renews or you upgrade.
- The trial usually ends right when a new cycle starts, so the free plan starts with the counter at zero. Only if the trial was extended and ends mid-cycle does what was already used in that cycle count towards the 50.
Do I need a card?
No. Neither for the trial nor for the free plan.
Can I take the trial more than once?
No: there is one trial per organisation.
Can I keep using MuseRelay for free afterwards?
Yes, with the free plan and its limits (see Active contacts and AI credits).
