Ads that open a WhatsApp conversation (“click to WhatsApp”) have a clear advantage: customers write to you at the moment they are interested. And an equally clear risk: if it takes you hours to reply, that interest cools down. When the campaign works, messages arrive all at once, many outside business hours, and most ask the same things.
This use case explains how to handle those messages with an AI assistant on WhatsApp without losing control of the conversation.
1. Reply instantly, at any hour
The assistant replies as soon as the message arrives, day or night, in the language the customer writes in. It understands voice notes and images, so it also answers people who send an audio message or a photo of what they are looking for.
It answers with your business information: what you write in its instructions and, from the Basic plan, the documents and pages in your knowledge base (prices, terms, opening hours, FAQs). If something isn’t in that information, it doesn’t make it up.
2. Ask what you need to know
You decide what you need to know about each person: what they are looking for, when, where, how they prefer to be contacted… The assistant asks naturally within the conversation, without forms, and saves the answers to the contact’s record.
If the customer wants an appointment or a visit, the assistant can book it straight into your calendar, using your real free slots.
3. Spot who wants to buy
Each conversation enters your sales pipeline. The AI reads the intent of each reply, in any language and without keyword lists, and moves the card to the right stage: interested, asks the price, wants a meeting, not interested. If someone asks you to stop writing, they are marked as discarded.
You can let it move the cards on its own or only suggest the move. At the end of the day, a board shows you who is ready to close and who was just asking.
4. Hand over to a person when needed
Some conversations are better handled by you: a negotiation, a complaint, an unusual case. When the assistant can’t solve something, it alerts you in the dashboard. You can take over any conversation whenever you want: the AI stops replying in it and you carry on, in the same chat with the full history in front of you.
If several people handle the same number, they all work from the same inbox.
5. What replying costs
Replying to people who write to you, within 24 hours of their last message, has no Meta cost. Writing to someone again after that window requires approved templates, which Meta charges and bills to you directly; conversations that start from an ad have their own conditions, worth checking on Meta’s pricing page. MuseRelay adds no per-message markup. More detail in WhatsApp Business API for chatbots.
What you need
- A number on the official WhatsApp API (Meta’s Cloud API), connected with your own credentials. The connection guide explains it step by step.
- A plan that fits your volume. To try it, the free plan includes one channel and up to 50 active contacts a month. For a campaign, Lite reaches 300 active contacts a month and Basic has no contact limit and includes templates. See the plans.
- An afternoon to set up the assistant: what you sell, what it should ask and when it should alert you.
What it doesn’t do today
So you know what to expect: MuseRelay doesn’t yet tell you which specific ad each customer came from, and it doesn’t send bulk campaigns. It is built to look after the people who write to you.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work just as well in other languages?
Yes. It replies in the customer’s language, and the pipeline classification works by intent, not by words in a particular language.
Can I review what it replies?
Yes. Every conversation stays in the inbox, and you can open any of them and take over.
What if I get more messages than my plan covers?
Messages from new people keep arriving in your inbox; you can reply to them when the cycle renews or when you upgrade.
Try it with your number
The account is free and no card is required: create your account, connect your WhatsApp and test the assistant with your own messages before launching the campaign. If registration asks for an access code during the beta, write to webmaster@muserelay.com.
